Hi, I am Shanda, the founder of ReAwaken Spa. Five years ago I opened ReAwaken with a simple yet powerful mission: to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home. Fueled by my previous experiences in the corporate world and a desire for more genuine connections, I envisioned a place that prioritizes individual care and attention over impersonal, one-size-fits-all treatments.
I believe in the holistic approach to wellness, understanding that true healing involves more than just the body – it encompasses the mind and spirit too. With this in mind I have carefully crafted our spa services to reflect this philosophy, ensuring that each visitor leaves not only physically refreshed but also mentally and emotionally revitalized.
At ReAwaken, you won't find cookie-cutter treatments; instead, you'll experience personalized care tailored to your unique needs. I have instilled a sense of warmth and authenticity in every corner of our spa, making it a place where every guest is valued and cherished.
Join us for a journey toward inner balance, relaxation, and well-being. Under my guidance, you'll discover the trans-formative power of holistic care, all in a welcoming and friendly environment.
Welcome to a spa where everyone is treated with care and kindness.

Outside of the spa Lyzi stays in continual motion. A passionate musician and live sound engineer, she spends many hours creating music both on stage and behind the scenes around the Richmond metro area.

Being a true therapeutic massage therapist, I thrive to put my clients' concerns and issues as top priority. I specialize in therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Sports massage certified and Ace certified in cupping massage. I graduated from Lotus school of integrated Professions in Richmond, VA in 2016! Mary has been a licensed massage therapist since 2015. She specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. Mary has gained valuable experience with a wide range of clients, treatments, and health concerns. She strongly believes in preventative maintenance; assessing and treating the body to identify problem areas to avoid injury and degeneration. She works with a qualitative and caring therapeutic touch to ensure that her clients receive the very best treatment suited to their specific needs.
My journey into the world of massage therapy started when I experienced its benefits during PT for a shoulder injury I had in my teen years. Since then, I graduated from Lotus Professional College in Richmond and continue to enhance my knowledge through continuing education. I love helping clients heal with relaxation massage, therapeutic deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, cupping, and Gua Sha.
"Hello- I’m Felix, and I’m ardent about wellness and helping people live and feel better! I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2015, and I also hold nationally recognized certifications in health coaching, personal training, behavior change, senior fitness, youth fitness, and group personal training. In addition, I hold a master’s degree in health promotion, a license to teach health, physical education, and biology, and I’m a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®). Wellness is my world, and I’m always looking to learn and use the latest evidence-based skills to improve the wellbeing of others. Using that knowledge, I treat every client holistically and address their individual needs. I specialize in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue to address pain and dysfunction. My prior experience as a massage therapist in an orthopedic and physical therapy office cultivated my interest in working with clients to problem solve and target their individual areas of ailment. For this reason, I equally enjoy performing soothing Swedish massages for stress reduction and relaxation, as stress is often a root cause of pain and disease in the body."
Mia’s therapeutic style is eccentric in using a solution-focused perspective with a holistic approach that looks at how the mind and body and spirit intertwine. She specializes in Thai massage, Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching, and myofascial release
Dawn Souza is a Rhode Island transplant in and RYT 500 hr trained in both the Baptiste Flow as well as Shiva Rea Prana Flow. She has a variety of experience at different studios in the RI area. She found yoga over ten years ago after a pretty chaotic time in her life. Life is still chaotic as a middle school theater arts, language arts teacher, and mother of two amazing toddlers, but she knows she has yoga to fall back on to recenter and ground.
Dawn believes in vinyasa that is invigorating (heated), but also slow and steady. She is a believer that life is like a wave of ebbs and flows, that can translate on your mat. With that being said her practice is breath inspired, and anatomically driven so that the practitioner is safe and comfortable during their practice, but also challenged to reach their edge. Every practice is different and finding that subtle shift in your body and mind after a practice is so rewarding. Dawn also uses a variety of props to guide her students in restorative poses.
Looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
Jessica grew up immersed in dance, where she discovered her passion for movement. Transitioning from dance to yoga, she fell in love with the practice, eventually expanding her expertise to include Pilates and barre. Now, as an experienced instructor, Jessica seamlessly integrates her background in dance with her knowledge of yoga, Pilates, and barre, offering dynamic classes that inspire self-discovery, strength, and inner harmony.
Hi my name is Janell and I invite you try a yoga class with me. I have been practicing yoga since 2003. I took my first yoga class in 2003 at the local parks and rec. That first class was all it took. I was hooked. In 2008, I started training to become a yoga instructor. I completed my RYT 200 in 2009 with Yogafit and have been teaching ever since at various locations around town. I am currently working on obtaining my RYT-500. Yogafit combines various forms of yoga including hatha, viniyoga, and vinyasa yoga. What I like about Yogafit is that the classes are designed for all levels. It can be your first time doing yoga or for someone who is an advanced practitioner, everyone can benefit from it. A class can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be. I strive to adjust the pose to meet the body, not adjust the body to meet the pose. I offer hands-on adjustments for both maintaining a safe body alignment and to help you deeper into a pose if it's available to you. When I'm not on my mat, I work as a Physical Therapist Assistant so I am familiar with anatomy and body systems. I have worked in various settings including sub-acute, a chronic pain clinic, and with geriatrics. I invite you to step out of your comfort zone and to challenge yourself mentally and physically. You will be surprised at what your body can do. :).
Namaste.
